This particular example is from the original run of the Raw Power model, featuring a rare mahogany neck (as opposed to maple), loaded with a pair of ‘57 Classic humbuckers. This uncommon, discontinued iteration of the Les Paul Studio platform features a decidedly unique tonewood complement, with a solid maple body, carved maple top, and maple fretboard, resulting in an instrument that combines the Les Paul’s natural resonance and sonic heft with the articulation and focused treble attack inherent to maple as a tonewood.
